Description
The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and sick and vacation time. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for player development.
- Observe players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement.
- Manage and operate video technology effectively to enhance player and team development.
- Assist in the organizing and facilitating of camps/clinics, including summer workouts.
- With scouting student-athletes, create a method to digitize and log video in an orderly fashion; coordinate Synergy breakdown with other coaches; and film breakdown / player breakdown / game plan prep.
- Assist Head Coach in evaluating student-athletes performance and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and bio-mechanical principles.
- Assist Head Coach in creating and reinforcing an environment of academic achievement, expectations, and success that supports and encourages academic progress and graduation; monitor the academic progress of student-athletes; monitor class attendance and study halls if necessary.
- Assist Head Coach in coaching team at competitive events. Assumes full team responsibility for organizing and conducting competitive events.
Key Qualifications:
- Have strong communication and motivation skills.
- Computer and video analysis and breakdown knowledge.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies.
- Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts must be compatible with those of the Head Coach.
- Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community.
- Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations.
