Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Student Life & Recreation Assistant

The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Student Life & Recreation Assistant is responsible for assisting with all aspects of SCC’s NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Program including practices, games, travel, fundraising, and recruiting, and any other duties related to the basketball program.

Essential Duties:

• Learn and embrace the comprehensive community college philosophy, related Iowa Code, and the ICCAC & NJCAA policies and procedures.
• Embrace and support constructive change; work efficiently and effectively to improve Keokuk Student Activities, Blackhawks Recreation Center, the Women’s Basketball program and all related college operations.
• Responsible for the monitoring of student-athlete academic progress.
• Planning and implementation of daily practice and game situations.
• Practices, games, recruitment, fundraising, and monitoring of student-athletes (academic, eligibility, and behavior).
• Individual instruction and skill improvement throughout the year.
• Evaluation of prospective student-athletes.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
