Description
The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach assists the Head Coach with all aspects of running the program. In addition, the assistant coach will teach the PE program and assist with administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Be accessible to and approachable by our students, communicating effectively with our students, recruiting (identifying, cultivating and yielding) prospective student-athletes.
- Teaching and coaching the sport, managing the roster, planning, scheduling and reserving space for all team activity (practices, games, workouts and meetings), team travel (itinerary, meals, hotels and transportation).
- Monitoring academic and social activity of student-athletes, communicating with parents and alumni.
- Selection and purchasing of equipment and uniforms.
- Strict adherence to and complete understanding of NESCAC and NCAA rules is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and experience coaching and/or playing at the intercollegiate level is required.
- Evening, morning and weekend work is necessary.
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
- A successful background check is necessary.
