Description
The primary duty of the assistant coach is to instruct student-athletes in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Additionally, the assistant coach will assist with all aspects of a NCAA Division I Women’s program, including aiding with recruiting, coordinating day-to-day operations, conducting practice sessions, coordinating travel arrangements, handling appropriate compliance paperwork, camp/clinic/tournament implementation, community outreach, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
- Collegiate or high-level club women’s soccer coaching experience.
- Experience coaching outfield players.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a record of compliance with such.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- National level soccer coaching license/certification.
- An established applicable recruiting network.
- Experience with clinic/camp implementation.
- Experience working in ARMS.
- Experience ordering equipment.
