Description
Responsible for assisting with the management of a competitive NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer program; assists with conditioning, practices, recruiting, travel arrangements, and student managers. Critical role is supporting the development of each student-athlete as a person, student, soccer player.
Examples of Duties:
- In conjunction with the Head Coach, plans and executes a successful program that would include duties such as: conducting regular team and individual practice sessions; coaching the student athletes, evaluating athletes performance in practice and competition; monitoring the conditioning and training of student athletes, advises and counsels student athletes regarding their obligations to comply with all rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility, as well as personal conduct and academics.
- Arranges and conducts recruiting functions including off- and on-campus visits, evaluations and contacts of prospective student-athletes.

Ensure that necessary athletic equipment and gear is available and in proper condition for scheduled practices and competition and makes recommendation for repairs or replacement, as necessary. Works with department’s liaison to apparel company to order appropriate gear/uniforms.
- Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, budget preparation and monitoring, and maintaining statistics. Attends coaches’ preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings.
Typical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Preferred.
- 1-3 years of prior coaching experience at the college or club sports level or as a collegiate athlete.

First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain). Coaching Licenses/courses recommended.
