Description
The Assistant Coach will play a crucial role in the organization and execution of volleyball practices, scouting, recruitment, and gameday operations. This position is instrumental in providing a positive and healthy environment for the education and growth of our student-athletes.
A successful assistant coach will:
- Support student-athlete welfare and ensure good academic standing of team members.
- Serve as a key contact and manager of our summer camps.
- Provide a positive Christian coaching role model and support the overall development of student-athletes.
- Assist in recruiting student-athletes and aid with recruiting administration tasks.
- Conform to and be knowledgeable of all NCAA regulations and conference requirements.
- Participate in the organization and execution of team practices and individual workouts.
- Cooperate in specified game assignments, including preparing scouting reports, managing video uploads, and arranging gameday practice times and travel itineraries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in athletics, related field, or equivalent.
- Two years of previous experience in coaching volleyball at the high school or collegiate level.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaches, athletes, students, faculty, administration, and community.
- Basic first aid, CPR, AED certification.
- Valid Washington State driver's license with good driving record.
- Maturing and contagious Christian faith, with willingness to actively support the Christian mission of the University and accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
- Knowledge and technical skills necessary to accomplish assigned tasks.
