Description
Work under the direction of the head coach and assist with the administration of a successful NCAA Division I women’s volleyball program. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work collaboratively in a group environment and maintain professional decorum as a representative of the University.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach with coaching of student-athletes during practices, skill training and matches.
- Assist in the recruitment of athletes for the women’s volleyball program. Coordinate annual recruiting strategy by selecting events to attend on a national scale. Help to determine which coaching staff member should attend events. Create official and unofficial visit itineraries. Maintain communication with prospective student-athletes with intention of bringing the best choices to UTA.
- Assist in monitoring the academic progress of each student-athlete participating in the volleyball program
- Evaluate opponent match video for game plan preparation coordinate practices on the road, and for visitors to practice in our facility.
- Assist with team travel planning, equipment, social media, and other roles as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. 4 years of experience coaching volleyball or combination of NCAA Division I playing experience and coaching volleyball.

2 years of experience coaching volleyball at the collegiate level.Office setting, flexible and extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays in addition to normal operating hours.
