Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of the volleyball program including but not limited to competition, practice, compliance, budget, academics, student conduct and development.
• Assist conducting all practices and competitions necessary to accomplish the objectives of the beach volleyball program within the guidelines of the University, Southland and NCAA rules.
• Be the point of contact for all recruitment of highly skilled student-athletes for volleyball teams.
• Responsible for adhering to and orienting student-athletes to the policies and regulations of the NCAA, Southland Conference, University of Louisiana System, and University New Orleans.
• In consultation with the Vice President of Athletics & Recreation and the Development staff of the University, assist in raising private funds for the indoor volleyball program.
• Counsel student-athletes in sport participation and personal development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree;
• 2 years of volleyball coaching experience;
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, Southland Conference, University of Louisiana System, and University New Orleans;
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel, as required.
