Description
The Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Student Services reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Governance and Sport Administration. Primary responsibilities includes oversight of day to day compliance operations monitoring compliance with NCAA, BIG10 and UCLA rules and regulations; supervision of 7 compliance and student-athlete services staff (FTE) administrators; researching NCAA rules, case precedent and interpretations; drafting waivers, violation reports and NCAA submissions; providing rules education.
Qualifications:
- Experience conducting research, possess superior critical thinking skills, and demonstrate strong organizational abilities. (Required)
- 5-10 years of experience working with NCAA Compliance at Division I intercollegiate athletics level preferred. (Required)
- Experience working with Teamworks, JumpForward and Compliance Assistant preferred. (Preferred)
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn on the job and work hard to excel in the position. (Required)
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of sports and athletes, specifically, UCLA sports, will provide value. (Preferred)
- Ability to perform duties with a great degree of accuracy, meet deadlines, work effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions and fluctuating workload. (Required)
- Analytical skill to evaluate information, identify and resolve problems. (Required)
