Associate Athletic Director for External Operations

Belmont Abbey College, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Conference Carolinas, invites applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the primary fundraising event, Giving Day.
• Oversees Community Involvement/Outreach for the Athletic Department.
• Create and establish relationships with businesses to produce financial growth for the department.
• Active involvement in decision-making regarding key issues which impact the day-to-day operations and future goals of the athletic department.
• Sport oversight.
• Scheduling.
• Assisting with special events.
• Game day management.

Qualifications:

• Although candidates with alternative experience and/or slightly different skill sets will be given consideration, excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• The minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree and two years or more of experience in college athletics administration.
• Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate a strategic vision for the day-to-day operations of a growing athletics department.
• This vision must complement the institution’s mission and character as a distinctively Catholic and Benedictine college which views sport as a means of developing virtue.
