Description
The Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Leadership and Belonging serves as a member of the department’s senior leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the athletics department’s student-athlete leadership, engagement, and development initiatives, student-athlete career and life after sports programming, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) education. The position also serves as a sport administrator for designated sports and as the athletics department’s liaison to the University’s Division of Student Affairs and other departments as designated.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience leading the development and implementation of intercollegiate athletics student-athlete development, leadership, and/or career transition initiatives or programs.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, verbal, writing, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, establish priorities, and organize varied and complex tasks.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast–paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a NCAA Division I student-athlete.
- Work experience at a NCAA Division I athletics department.
