Description
The Associate Athletics Director for External Operations serves on the executive staff of the Athletics Department. The position is responsible for ensuring the maximization of all external efforts, including but not limited to marketing and promotions, sports information, corporate partnerships, and attendance/ticketing. The successful candidate will also ensure that external operations are in compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ related work experience with at least 2 years in Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in related field.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with campus organizations, development and marketing departments.
- Create donor and marketing centered strategies.
- Collaborate with Director of Club Sports in regard to spirit unit.
- Oversee planning of all appropriate marketing, friend/fund raising events including golf outings, dinners, receptions, games, etc.
- Attend these special events.
