Clayton State University Athletics, a proud member of the NCAA DII and Peach Belt Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director of Athletics. A member of the athletics administrative team, the Associate AD is responsible for managing the Clayton State Athletics NCAA compliance office and involved in other areas of athletics administration. This is a full-time, senior level administrator appointment reporting directly to the Director of Athletics.
Individuals must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in intercollegiate athletics.
Previous experience managing or working within a NCAA compliance office.
Must possess outstanding communication and organizational skills and be able to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
Must be able to work independently, including some evenings and weekends to accomplish tasks necessary for success.

Oversee the Athletics Department in Director of Athletics’ absence;
Involved in all policy, procedural, and personnel decisions within the Athletics Department and assists the Director of Athletics with staff evaluations;
Assist the Director of Athletics in preparing proposed budgets for areas of oversight;
Serve as an institutional representative at NCAA meetings;
Responsible for all tasks related to NCAA compliance, ensuring prompt reporting of any violations, and keeping Director of Athletics well informed;
Assist with Athletics Department marketing and promotions initiatives, focusing on increasing attendance at home events;
Oversight of athletics administrative areas (Areas will be determined based on the background and experience of the new hire);
Serve as a game administrator when required;
Constantly evaluate the athletics program and recommend to the Director of Athletics ways to enhance athletics efforts.
