Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs

Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Revenue Officer, the Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs is a senior member of the Athletic Department’s external relations team. This position is responsible for generating revenue through sponsorships and strategic partnerships as well as overseeing the ticket sales goals. This position has supervision of sport programs as well as other administrative areas.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and achieves fundraising goals for the athletic department.
• Works with head coaches to meet and exceed sport specific goals.
• Serves as athletic administrator for the Pride Club Board of Directors.
• Assists in the organization of the department of athletics events including but not limited to homecoming, alumni days, and golf outings.
• Manages a donor portfolio of 100 prospects and meets annual solicitation, meeting and dollars raised goals.
• Oversees all hospitality areas for athletic events.
• Orchestrates annual giving day efforts with institutional advancement.
• Solicits and sells corporate sponsorships for the athletics department.
• Identifies corporate sponsorship inventory available to the corporate community.
• Creates and fulfills sponsorship contracts and the mailing and tracking of invoices and payments.
• Cultivates and entertains corporate sponsors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
