Description
The Associate Director of Football Strength and Conditioning will work with others as a key member of the Athletic Health and Performance team for BYU football under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director of Football Athletic Performance, Director of Sport Science, and Director of Football Strength & Conditioning.
What You’d Be Responsible For:
- Assist in overseeing the implementation and supervision of athletic assessments and other key performance indicators in collaboration with the sport science department.
- Assist with programming and implementation of strength, speed, and conditioning programs for football athletes.
- Help develop and implement holistic training program that meets the needs of the coach, team, and individual.
- Teach, instruct, and spot athletes effectively on proper training technique.
- Help implement training technologies, including Elite Form, 1080 Sprint, Keiser, Oxefit, force, plates, etc.
- Help direct the activities of assistant strength and conditioning coaches and interns working within strength and conditioning.
- Help monitor and supervise strength and conditioning facilities, including daily upkeep of facility, equipment maintenance, inventory, and opening and closing procedures.
What Qualifies You to Apply?
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science-related field with certification in strength and conditioning (i.e., CSCS or SCCC) (Must have required degree by start date).
- Preferred: Graduate degree in an exercise science-related field with certification in strength and conditioning (i.e., CSCS or SCCC), a valid BLS/CPR/AED certification, and extensive work experience in elite-level collegiate or professional athletic performance enhancement strongly preferred.
