The position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Coordinator of Intramurals, Club Sports and Camps is a full-time position in the Department of Athletics. The position reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and the Director of Athletics. The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Coordinator of Intramurals, Club Sports and Camps is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations.
Proficiency in various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Strong organizational and written skills.
Ability to function in growing environment.
Strong collaborative abilities.
Ability to work graciously with various groups of people.
The Coordinator of Intramurals, Club Sports and Camps is responsible for but not limited to:
Adhering to Dominican University and the Department of Athletics rules and regulations;
Assisting with event management and/or serve as contest manager;
Overseeing the budget for all intramural programs and club sports within the Department of Athletics;
Overseeing the hiring process and serving as the direct report for all head coaches in all aspects of respective club sport;
Developing, coordinating and growing Department of Athletics camps, clubs and intramural programming;
Coordinating all facilities needs for intramural programs, club sports and camps;
Coordinating club sports with Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance;
Coordinating transportation needs for all intramural programs and club sports through the Assistant Director of Athletics;
Recording participation in Department of Athletics camps, club sports and intramurals programs;
Working with parties in scheduling of all Department of Athletics intramural events and camps;
Working with Department of Athletics and external partners to develop marketing strategies for athletic camps;
Serving as the liaison to the Office of Student Involvement;
Serving as liaison between the Department of Athletics and the surrounding communities for camps/clinics;
Serving as the Department of Athletics Homecoming committee chair;
Coordinating the Department of Athletics Homecoming events.
