Athletic Coach: Boys Head Varsity Tennis Coach

This position will serve as the Head for the SPA Boy’s Tennis Program and will be responsible for coaching the Boys Varsity tennis team. Included in this position is the coaching, management and support of assistant coaches and program development for all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating a positive environment that promotes good sportsmanship.
• Working closely with the US and MS Athletic Director to build a coaching staff of qualified coaches.
• Implementing well-organized and structured practices.
• Coordinating competition schedules with the US Athletics Director.
• Working with the athletics administrative assistant in scheduling transportation.
• Maintaining accurate records and other required paperwork (rosters, schedules, physicals, results, records and individual and team accolades).
• Providing effective supervision and evaluation of all players.
• Creating a rapport with the greater community, generating interest in the program.
• Recognizing the contributions of all; impressing upon the athletes and parents that their efforts are valued, while creating a positive team culture.
• Participating as a positive team member in the Athletics Department supporting program excellence and development.
