Description
The Athletic Communications Director leads all aspects of communication for the University of North Texas Dallas Athletics including the development and execution of communication strategies. The Athletic Communications Director collaborates with applicable departmental units (e.g., University Relations, Creative Services and Marketing & Branding, etc.) in planning, editing and strategically telling the Athletic Department’s best stories while promoting and protecting the UNTD Athletics brand.

- Skill in the use of personal computers, stream technology, film platforms (blueframe, HUDL, production truck, SkyCoach, ect…) and related software applications.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Job Duties:
- Write and edit promotional materials including press releases, newsletters, programs, and brochures; gather and compile statistical information.
- Provide media training, as appropriate, for student athletes and coaches.
- Write and produce collateral materials as needed to promote and/or support contests and other activities for all UNT Dallas intercollegiate athletics teams as well as the athletics department itself.
- Manage updates to the athletics department website in a timely manner, including posting scores and statistical information within 24 hours of the completion of each contest.
- Coordinate and execute visual streaming of contests, instant replay, Conference and NAIA expectations. Assure compliance with all NAIA and/or conference requirements for filming contests and posting those films as directed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the marketing department for promotion of games, media day, campus tv's and other aspects of game promotion.
