Description
Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Build and lead our high school basketball program to compete at an elite level, with the goal of joining premier tournament circuits such as the Grind Session or shoe-sponsored leagues (Nike, Adidas, Puma, etc.).
- Prep School Expertise: Develop and manage our athletics program with an understanding of the prep school environment, including compliance, scheduling, and recruitment.
- Athletic Software: Utilize platforms such as MaxPreps to track performance, statistics, and program visibility.
- Multi-Sport Oversight: Oversee additional sports programs, including track, tennis, and flag football, ensuring all teams are equipped for success.
- Spiritual Leadership: Promote a Christ-centered environment within the athletic department, encouraging staff and student-athletes to grow in their faith and actively share it with others.
- Recruitment & Networking: Identify and recruit talented student-athletes, building relationships with families, coaches, and sponsors to support program growth.
- Operational Management: Oversee budgets, facilities, scheduling, and hiring of coaching staff to ensure smooth operation and alignment with program goals.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of high school basketball, including tournament circuits and elite league opportunities, with the ability to step in and coach teams when needed.
- Understanding of the prep school athletic environment, including athlete development and recruitment strategies.
- Experience using athletic software platforms (e.g., MaxPreps) to enhance program organization and visibility.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to build and manage multiple sports programs.
- Strong spiritual foundation and the ability to incorporate faith into athletic leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the broader community.
