The Athletic Director plans, organizes, coordinates and manages all aspects of intercollegiate athletics on campus. The Director is responsible for Athletic Department fund raising. The Director manages schedules, staff, budgets and public relations for all teams and is responsible for all records necessary for eligibility. The Director is also the manager of facilities and equipment, which are part of the program. The Director is the institutional representative to the NJCAA, Region XI and ICCAC. This position will report to the College President.
Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Athletic Management/Administration, Recreation or equivalent required. Minimum of five years of athletic administration required.
Include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, ability to work with diverse populations, and work is performed in a office environment, gymnasiums and indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and use a phone, and some travel by vehicle may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, and working with minimal supervision, a high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, leadership skills, and high degree of inter-personal skills. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
