Master’s Degree in educational leadership, athletic administration and or related fields from accredited university preferred.
Successful experience coaching and working with athletics at the varsity and sub-varsity level.
Demonstrated knowledge of current educational issues and best practices.
Proven record of outstanding leadership.
Exceptional communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to professional growth of self and District coaches.
Ability and desire to work with students, parents, staff and community stakeholders.
Preference will be given to candidates with successful administrative experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate, schedule and supervise all high school athletic programs.
Monitor and assess student achievement.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Promote, lead and evaluate the professional growth of coaches.
Coordinate middle school athletics.
Manage athletic department personnel at all levels.
Conduct student discipline and behavior modifications for assigned students.
Supervise school activities during and after the school as assigned by the Principal.
Manage all athletic activities.
Manage budgets, writing grants and/or developing partnerships.
Orders, processes and maintains materials and equipment.
Processes co-curricular contracts for coaches and other co-curricular teachers.
Maintains files, records and accounts.
Represents the District at State, local and county athletic conference meetings.
Serves as a visible and positive public relations advocate for the District.
Perform other duties as assigned by the building Principal.
