Description
The Athletic Director position is to provide leadership to the staff of the Athletic Department while promoting a program that is student-centric, culturally responsive, and emphasizes the positive nature of competition. The Athletic Director position provides program development, scheduling games, scheduling transportation, equipment inventory, prepares an annual budget for the Athletic Department, and other essential leadership responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students.
- Complies with school and MIAA policies and regulations, to include organizing required safety trainings for staff, athletes, and families.
- Administers the high school and middle school athletic program.
- Plans and coordinates athletic awards programs.
- Ensures compliance with all medical eligibility guidelines for student athletes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Proper DESE licensure is required.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to organize and supervise all levels of sports programs.
- Ability to handle multitude of varying and complex issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
