Description
The Athletic Director is responsible for the overall conduct of the parish and school Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Athletic Program. The Athletic Director will receive information from the Archdiocese of Detroit CYO Athletic Office and their leagues. They are responsible for disseminating this information to their parish and school programs
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating the written policies and procedures for the athletic program in collaboration with the Principal.
- Arranging for registration of team players. Distributing registration materials; setting time and location for registration.
- Acquiring and maintaining equipment, first aid supplies, uniforms.
- Scheduling practice facilities.
- Distributing league schedules to all coaches. Any change in the schedule or request for a change must be made through the athletic director.
- Arranging funding and fund raising for support of the program by collaboration with the booster club in fundraising, communicating, promoting.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Background in athletics or sports management.
- Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
- Dedication to the mission of athletics and its proper role in forming young people.
- Strong example of Catholic Christian faith.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
Integrity - Ability to life a minimum of 35lbs.
