Athletic Director/ Head Football Coach

Mathis ISD is seeking an engaged, innovative, and charismatic leader to direct and provide the vision and leadership for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the K-12th grade Athletic/P.E. Program. The AD/Head Football coach is responsible for all aspects of the Athletic/P.E. department: personnel and budgeting across all sports; efficient coordination of athletic facilities, practice, logistics, and competition schedules; effective management and hiring of coaches, eligibility and compliance processes; student-athlete academic balance, progress and achievements, and quality public relations for all teams.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate.
• Master's Degree preferred; Texas Administrator's Mid-Management Preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a successful varsity coach or athletic director.
• Clear and valid Texas Commercial drivers license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Ability to manage athletic department operations, build programs, budgeting, personnel, and UIL policies governing athletic.
• Ability to systemize and improve processes for monitoring and ensuring accountability for all fiscal and programmatic operations of the athletic department and each sport.
