Description
The Athletic Trainer/Assistant Director of Athletic Medicine serves in the Division of Athletics and reports to the Director of Athletic Medicine for Clinical Care. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the medical and rehabilitation programs and needs of student-athletes on the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country & Track and Field Teams.
What You Will Do:
- Provide medical care to athletes at practice, training, and competition events. Administer treatment under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Medicine and Team Physician.
- Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, coaches, team physicians, and administration on progress of student athletes. Maintain proper documentation as necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance and proper use of athletic training facilities in order to create an efficient and safe working environment.
- Assist with the management of the student athletic training education program.
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.
