Saint Joseph High School is seeking an experienced Athletics Director to start immediately. This is a full-time ministry. As support to the school’s administrative team, the Athletics Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing primary leadership to and supervision of the school’s athletic programs.
Coordinating the building athletic calendar.
Recruiting, interviewing, and recommending for hire all coaches.
Developing and evaluating performance and conduct of athletic coaches.
Representing the athletic program at home and away sporting events.
Arranging transportation for athletes to and from games.
Securing event staff for home contests.
Holding parent meetings prior to each sports season.
Communicating with parents, liaise with the high school’s parent groups.
Oversee athletic clearance, attendance, and eligibility.
Attend district, league and regional Athletic Director conferences.
Direct sports and athlete recognition.
Implement school athletic code, investigate potential violations.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
Previous experience as a high school Athletics Director.
Single Subject California Teaching Credential or Master of Arts Degree.
