Athletics Director

The RJA Athletic Director is to provide leadership, collaboration, and coordination in the area of the athletic program of a RJA high school. The Athletic Director will report to the school site Principals.

Essential Duties:

• Coordinate with the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) that sets the parameters for athletic participation among member schools.
• Keep all aligned individuals and groups informed regarding policy changes from the CIF.
• Oversee the athletic programs for both high schools, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and standards.
• Support the development and management of the middle school sports program, fostering a smooth transition for student-athletes progressing to high school sports.
• Ensure all athletic programs remain in good standing with the CIF and any athletic league or organization the school is affiliated with.
• Coordinates the RJA high school athletic program in collaboration with school administration and coaches to ascertain programmatic needs on an annual basis, as well as prior to each season to insure consistency of program.
• Coordinates the recruitment of coaches and supports the building Principal who is responsible for selection and employment.
• Supports the building Principal to supervises and evaluates all coaches (head & assistant).
• Schedules all high school athletic contests, issues contracts for the contest, and maintains the proper and necessary records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of teaching/coaching experience, preferred.
