Basketball Coach

The Virginia Beach Field House is Virginia’s premier indoor sports facility. With over 175,000 square feet, we offer leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments for youth and adults in soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, arena (indoor) baseball and softball, field hockey, lacrosse, dodge ball, sand volleyball, sand flag football, sand soccer and other social sports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a proven leader, who leads by example both on and off the court..
• Communicate with players and parents regarding practices, tournaments, and league schedule.
• Develops and implements comprehensive basketball training programs to ensure client success on and off the court.
• Conduct age-appropriate drills.
• Utilizes ongoing player evaluations to determine starting levels for new clients and progress for current clients.
• Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have high energy and enthusiasm throughout all classes and while interacting with guests.
• Must promote values and culture of the program in every class.
• Must have leadership capability.
• Must have good guest service skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
• Must have strong time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Qualifications:

• High school playing experience preferred.
• Strong Knowledge of the game of basketball.
• Prior coaching experience coaching/training with youth players.
• Ability to provide meaningful feedback to players and parents.
• Positive role model and high energy character.
