Description
The Head Coach/PPD should be an accomplished leader of young men, have the ability to engage the community, and have a clear coaching philosophy that supports player development and team excellence. The job requires the coach to build out and manage the roster, oversee and manage a practice schedule, and balance the needs of the team and its players. The TBL plays from March – June. Coaching responsibilities are primarily from January to June, but PPD roster building will take place year-round.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team before and during the season – practices, games, physical training.
- Care for the physical and emotional needs of each athlete.
- Assist players in setting individual goals and developing their careers.
- Provide encouragement and positive, constructive feedback to all players.
- Be involved in daily lives of athletes and coaches; update ownership with concerns on a consistent basis, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Participate in community events.
Qualifications:
- Significant coaching experience at college level or above. Strong network with professional players in the USA and overseas.
- Have a track record of creating a winning culture and player development.
- Be organized and attend to details.
- Be an excellent communicator and motivator.
