Club Flag Football Coach

The Club Flag Football Coach is responsible for all aspects of the flag football program. The coach must demonstrate strong leadership in player and staff development, sportsmanship, integrity, and character development. Should possess strong communication and organizational skills. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the skills and strategies of the sport of flag football.

Essential Functions:

• Networks and collaborates with local and regional flag football coaches and programs.
• Coordinates and coaches’ team at games and tournaments.
• Schedules and supervises team practices.
• Promotes athletic program for the College.
• Monitors academic progress of students and assists with potential problems.
• Assists athletic staff with ordering of all team equipment and supplies and is responsible for and oversees all such equipment.

Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree in any field of study is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Adept at written and oral communication
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Establishes standards of conduct and administers them in a fair, equitable and consistent manner.
• Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules
• Foster among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of recreation, a desire to perform at the highest level, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Perform other duties related to the position as requested by the director of intramural sports.
