Description
The Deputy Athletic Director, Sport Administration and Student Success (Deputy AD) at the University of Delaware is a valued member of the Executive Team within the University and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation, upholding and embracing the departmental mission of “Achieving Excellence Together.”
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates vision and leads the strategy for the department in alignment with our mission, vision, core values
- Provides strategic vision leadership; sets and evaluates team and individual goals, develops and sustains appropriate training, and monitors primary focus areas of team members of sport administration, student services, leadership, NIL program, and compliance programs.
- Drives a culture of analytics for continuous improvement.
- Leads the development of annual budgets for administrative areas and monitors as appropriate.
- Serves as the Senior Woman Administrator involved in the administration and governance of athletics for both men and women, promoting and ensuring equity across all varsity programs including funding and resources strategy.
- Serves as the liaison to the Faculty Athletics Representative; partners to set meeting agendas and presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, in sports management, athletic administration, or other related field, with eight years of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading vision setting, program implementation and assessment.
- Demonstrated understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
