Deputy Director of Athletics

The Deputy Director will work closely with the Director of Athletics to shape and execute the department's vision, policies, and long-term goals. They will lead critical initiatives that ensure the department's administrative, operational, and competitive success is aligned with emerging best practices and contributes to a culture of inclusive excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Athletics in assessing Athletics' ongoing operational, fiscal, personnel, and facility needs.
• Co-lead developing and implementing a department strategic plan that aligns with the institution's mission and long-term objectives.
• With the Director, design and implement departmental supervisory practices and staff development programs that promote leadership excellence across the department.
• Serve as a senior member of the Athletic Administrators team and on other campus working groups or committees as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of related experience in collegiate athletics administration or similarly complex organizations.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise.
• Experience in strategic planning, budget management, and operational leadership.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and strategic thinking.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex issues.
• Valid driver’s license.
