The Director of Content Services has oversight and is responsible for developing, directing, supervising and executing the strategy and content creation for all of University of Houston Athletics.
Serves as the leader of the Content Services unit managing graphic designs, photography and video areas in the capturing, production, editing, and delivery of timely impactful digital content.
Develops and executes strategic, compelling, robust and timely content to support the promotion and consistency of the UH Athletics brand. Content will be positioned to drive engagement and deliver on UH Athletics initiatives.
Oversees the live digital and linear production, including but not limited to streaming, video board operations, and coordination of packaging providers to ensure proper execution.
Using strong understanding of trends in the industry, creates forward thinking and storytelling using short and long form video, audio, photography and graphics to execute all productions; linear, stream, podcasts and coaches shows.
Supports department marketing and social media strategy through creation of graphic and video content.
Serves as the content creation contact for internal constituents as well as external stakeholders such as the American Athletic Conference, ticketing partners, Houston Cougars Sports Properties and streaming partners.
Responsible for maintaining an effective digital archive for UH Athletics.
Responsible for fostering a positive, collaborative team culture delivering content across all mediums of storytelling for multiple stakeholders.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors and 3 years experience.
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplines.
Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
