This position oversees the planning, organization, and implementation of the Athletic Annual Fund campaign and manages all aspects of communication, stewardship, ticketing, including premium seating, re-seating, parking, hospitality and other donor benefits. This position will supervise the Director of Special Events and Stewardship and the Donor Relations Manager. This position will also maintain a portfolio of annual and major gift donors and will oversee sport specific fundraising for assigned programs. In addition, this position will plan, manage, and execute the Old Dominion Athletic Fund’s premium seating program for basketball and football which generates over $2 million in annual revenue.
Master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to a master’s degree. Considerable progressively responsible experience within athletic development. Some experience with collegiate athletics. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate athletic fundraising objectives to all constituents through personal visits, direct mail campaigns, and special events. Must maintain strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member. Must possess a strong work ethic and high integrity.
