Director of Athletics

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree required.
• A valid Texas teaching certificate required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a successful varsity coach or athletic director required.
• Knowledge of the overall operations of a district-wide athletic program with the ability to manage budget and personnel, knowledge of state and UIL policies governing athletics, and strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Direct school services to provide for all students equitably.
• Ensure that student progress is evaluated on a regular, systematic basis, and the findings are used to make the athletic program more effective.
• Provide appropriate time, resources, and materials to support accomplishment of educational goals.
