Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight, organization, direction, and administration of the middle school athletic program.
- Hire, supervise and evaluate coaches.
- Develop middle school physical education curriculum.
- Select middle school teams and assign coaching staff to those teams.
- Represent the School in middle school league meetings.
- Lead and collaborate with the Assistant Middle School Athletic Director.
- Successfully communicate with coaches, students, staff, teachers and parents.
- Serve as an Advocate to a group of middle school students.
- Manage the middle school athletic budget.
- Create and implement integration opportunities between the middle and upper school Athletics departments.
- Provide administrative leadership and oversight to select upper school sport programs as assigned by the Athletic Director.
- Develop and act as liaison with the Booster Program.
- Stay current with Athletics rules and policies within the WBAL and CCS.
Requirements:
- At least five years prior sports administrator experience at the middle school, high school, college and/or elite club level.
- Experience managing coaches and staff.
- Experience that includes knowledge of National Federation High School (NFHS) rules and regulations of the sport and a knowledge of adolescent psychology as it relates to sports participation is preferred.
- Possession of valid, unexpired CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- NFHS coach certification.
