Director of Sports Nutrition

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Director of Sports Nutrition. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, and supervises the yearlong sport nutrition program for all student-athletes.
• Provides individual, group, and team nutrition counseling and education to enhance the performance and health of student-athletes.
• Assesses and analyzes dietary practices, body composition, and energy balance (intake and expenditure) of athletes in the context of athletic performance and health.
• Acts as liaison to Sports Medicine Department.
• Services as a member of the Student-Athlete Wellness Committee.
• Directs the Education Curriculum for student-athletes.
• Oversees annual budget for sports nutrition.
• Plans menus for team meals, potential training table, and team travel. Potential development of training table.
• Manages the Sports Nutrition Catered Snack, Nutrition Fueli.ng Station, and Dining Hall.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• 1 year of collegiate athletic/sports nutrition or comparable experience.
• Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensure as required by state of practice.
