Description
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science.
- Four years of experience in nutritional counseling.
- Registered Dietitian; Licensed as a Dietician in Oklahoma or upon hiring complete the requirement. Sports Nutrition Certification Sexual Harassment Training, Minor's Training, CPR and AED Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, hire, supervise and evaluate instructors and trainers. Exhibit proficiency in mentoring and training staff. Experience with one-on-one nutrition counseling and menu planning. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate new and innovative programs and services. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with football team and coaches.
- Provide current evidence based nutritional counseling and education services to student athletes.
- Develop nutrition education/intervention and sports nutrition programs.
- Plan, develop, implement, track, evaluate and manage nutrition services provided to student athletes.
- Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends when varsity teams are training, practicing and competing.
- This position may require occasional travel with sports teams.
- Work with Cowboy Dining the athletic department dining hall. Supervise Assistant Performance Dietitians on staff.
