Description
The District Athletic Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and compliance of athletic programs and extracurricular activities across Legacy Traditional Schools. This role includes acting as the campus Athletic Director at designated sites, representing the campus at CAA meetings, and ensuring that athletic schedules, facilities usage, and operational logistics meet both network and CAA standards. The candidate should be a proactive leader capable of balancing strategic oversight with hands-on operational support while being an effective communicator who fosters collaboration and clarity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure all school athletic programs and extracurricular activities adhere to district and CAA guidelines.

Oversees and manages network intramural programs including scheduling and logistics.

Oversee student and campus recognition initiatives.

Monitor program effectiveness and compliance across all campuses.

Serve as the campus Athletic Director where required in case of vacancy.

Act as the district representative at CAA meetings.

Run for and hold (pending election) a position on the CAA governing board.

Facilitate communication between the network and individual schools regarding athletic program standards and improvements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Demonstrated experience in athletic program management, preferably within a K-8 educational setting.

Strong understanding of athletic regulations, compliance issues, and budgeting.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrated program development and implementation skills.

The planning of the work of others and the coordination of work with other departments or external agencies.

The ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
