Elementary School Health and Physical Education Paraeducator – 25/26 SY

Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking student-focused, dedicated Paraeducators to assist teachers and other professional practitioners by providing instructional support to further enhance the efficiency and productivity of educational environments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists students with the organization and completion of daily work assignments.
• Assists with evaluating and testing students.
• Works with small groups of students in various subject areas.
• Follows established procedures for monitoring student behavior when supervising small or large groups.
• Monitors students whereabouts and observe student safety.
• Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, and basic troubleshooting.
• Performs additional non-instructional duties including, but not limited to, cafeteria duty, bus duty, hall duty, and office duty.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional, educational or related setting.
