Description
Gettysburg College is seeking an assistant football coach (defense) to work in the athletics department. This position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the areas of coaching, practice planning and coaching, recruiting, academic monitoring of student-athletes, strength and conditioning, and video technology. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relative experience required, master’s preferred.
- College and/or relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in the environment of an academically demanding liberal arts institution.
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and commitment to holistic student-athlete experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize effectiveness with diverse groups of students and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills and ability to initiate and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
