Girls Cross Country Coach

Duties:

• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
• Maintain regular communication with Athletic Director.
• Attend clinics/workshops related to sport.
• Plan and direct training programs that enable athletes to reach top performance.
• Instruct athletes on proper techniques, strategies, sportsmanship, and the rules of the sport.
• Show support for other coaches with staff and the public.
• Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship towards opponents and officials.
• Effectively manage pre-contest and season details.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful experience and ability to work well with students, parents, and staff members.
• Knowledgeable in the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport.
• Valid coaching experiences or experience as a participant in the applied position(s).
• High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain current CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Demonstrated effective public relations skills.
• Possess good organizational skills.
• Non-smoker at work site.
• Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
