Description
The Girl's Head JV Soccer Coach is responsible for overseeing the entire JV program. Responsibilities include supervision of assistant coaches and student-athletes. Assisting with recruiting future student-athletes is emphasized, and communication with the Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director, and Head Soccer Coach, on all subjects relative to the program. Positively mentoring student-athletes, parents, and the entire Archbishop Carroll community on the girl's soccer program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the direction of the girls JV soccer program with the support of the Head Varsity Coach;
- Supports the Head Varsity Coach in implementing the philosophy of Archbishop Carroll soccer as enunciated by the President;
- Know, disseminate, and enforce all rules and regulations of the school’s athletic conference and the Archbishop Carroll Athletic Handbook, ensuring adherence by all assistant coaches and students to all rules and procedures;
- Attends all appropriate meetings associated with the athletic program of the school, WCAC athletic conference and DCSAA; and other soccer-specific affiliations.
- Shares responsibility for monitoring the eligibility of all the students participating in the soccer program;
- Helps organize and maintain academic supports/interventions for student-athletes.
Qualifications:
- Experience coaching high school-level student-athletes.
- 2 or more years of coaching Soccer.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills, including problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
