Description
Responsibilities:
- Stay informed of rule changes, trends, and recommendations that affect their particular sport.
- Be present at each practice session and at all contests of the sport coached.
- Develop an organized written practice plan to include adequate warm-up and cool-down procedures on a daily basis.
- Models professional and healthy behaviors.
- Leads by example in appearance, manners, language and conduct during practices/games.
- Make sure that the facilities and equipment are safe and that safety procedures are taught and followed in all areas.
- Perform all duties/responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletic.
- Implement game plans and game management.
- Process the medical forms, parent consent forms and eligibility reports.
- Work with community members who are involved in youth sports Directly supervise squad members at home and away contests.
- Supervise all team members that are transported by school buses.
Qualifications:
- High School Level Soccer and/or High School Level coaching experience required.
- First Aid/CPR required MIAA/NFHS Coaches Certification required.
