Description
Performance Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire Girls Wrestling Program.
- Inspire, develop, train, supervise, and guide student-athletes to wrestle.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and skills development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
- Be committed to building an in-season and off-season competitive Girls Wrestling Program.
- Build relationships with and have a willingness to coach both beginners and advanced student-athletes.
- Instruct student-athletes on fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
- Instruct/guide student-athletes to lead them to the formulation and enhancement of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence and good sportsmanship.
- Cooperate with School Athletic Office and the District Athletic Department, in a timely manner, in regard to pertinent information that might be required periodically.
Trainings/Certifications:
- Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate desired.
- Successful participation in a similar activity in high school and/or college. Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the high school or college level is desired.
- Provide a satisfactory result on a County Police Records Check, State BCII Check, and FBI Fingerprint Background Check. Possess an Ohio Department of Education Pupils Activity Permit. Provide completion of the Coaches Tool Chest Training/ Certification.
