Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the head coach in scheduling and providing transportation to tournaments and special events.
- I'd like to point out the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sports events or practices and adhere to scheduled facilities.
- Provides documentation to the Athletic Director to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility.
- Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment and sites.
- Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is considered a participant.
- His/her presence at all practices, games, and while traveling provides assistance and guidance to and safeguards for each participant.
- Directs student managers and statisticians.
- Determines discipline delineates procedures concerning due process when the enforcement of discipline is necessary. Contacts parents when a student is dropped or becomes ineligible.
Qualifications:
- Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
- Previous coaching experience in assigned sports is desirable.
- Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
- Has taken a course workshop or has proof of competency in first aid.
- Has a certificate or completion of a class in CPR.
