Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced knowledge of golf fundamentals/concepts, team organization, rules, and policies of the WVSSAC.
- Previous experience as a golf coach; preferred at the middle school level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teacher of advanced skills, team organization, and fundamentals.
- Design and follow a quality and organized daily practice sessions.
- Collect and submit all WVSSAC eligibility paper work to the AD.
- Assist the AD in setting up for athletic contests.
- Follow end of season procedures (inventory of equipment, uniforms, naming of letter winners, etc.).
- Assist in submitting transportation request times to the AD for athletic contests.
- Participate in activities that promote growth and development.
- Organize an off-season conditioning and skills building program.
- Promote middle school golf within the school system and community.
- Enforce all rules and policies of the school and county related to athletics and student behavior.
- Develop an athletic code of conduct to be signed by athletes and parents.
- Keep the media informed of competition results.
