Head Basketball Coach

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the basketball team under the direction of the Athletic Director.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Basketball Coach in building competitive teams.
• Organize and conduct practices to develop players' skills and teamwork.
• Develop and implement effective game strategies to maximize team performance.
• Lead an education-based program that emphasizes character development, self-discipline, citizenship, leadership, and values.
• Maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management.
• Foster a positive team culture that aligns with the mission of Mounds Park Academy.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, fellow coaches, and school administrators.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during all team activities.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience coaching volleyball at the high school level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and techniques.
• Ability to effectively communicate and motivate student-athletes.
• Commitment to upholding the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Dedication to the holistic development of student-athletes on and off the court.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
