Head Boys Basketball Coach

To be successful as a basketball coach, you should have solid knowledge of basketball and its rules, be able to develop winning strategies, and have good communication skills. Ultimately, be able to make decisions under pressure, and have exceptional leadership skills. The Head Basketball Coach reports to the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the game and the rules.
• Studying the skills and abilities of the players to maximize performance.
• Devising play strategies.
• Developing ideas to optimize performance.
• Providing mentorship.
• Teaching players the rules of the game.
• Training assistant coaches.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with basketball.
• A solid understanding of the game.
• Be able to motivate players.
• Good leadership skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Have an excellent memory and concentration skills.
