Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintain the volleyball program.
- Maintaining positive communication with patrons and parents of athletes and potential athletes.
- Assist with coordinating off-season camps and conditioning programs.
- Encouraging good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport.
- Collaborating with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athletes.
- Ensuring compliance with MSHAA.
- Maintaining statistics on all players.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: A four year college degree or have served as an assistant coach for a minimum of two years. Meets MSHSAA minimum requirements.
- If hired as a coach via a substitute certificate, the individual must satisfactorily complete (make a grade of 80% to pass) a MSHSAA approved coaches education program (NFICEP) before he/she can be hired for a coaching position in any subsequent year. In addition, all coaches despite certification status must attend a NFICEP first-aid class and pass the exit test given at that time.
- Preferred: Missouri teaching certificate; Prior teaching/coaching experience.
- Ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment.
